Q: Do I need an appointment for Women's Health services?

A: Appointments are recommended for all Women's Health services. Same-day appointments may be available, depending on physician availability.

Q: Do I need a referral to be seen at the Women's Health Clinic?

A: A referral is not necessary for most Women's Health services, though it is appreciated. If specialist care is needed, our physician will provide the appropriate referral. If you have a family doctor, please ask them to send us a referral by EMR (online), fax, or email.

Q: How early should I arrive for my appointment?

A: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment with your valid OHIP health card and a current list of your medications.

Q: Is my personal health information kept confidential?

A: Yes. Your personal health information and all consultations are kept strictly confidential in accordance with privacy regulations.

Q: Will I need a follow-up appointment after lab or imaging tests?

A: Follow-up appointments may be required to review laboratory or imaging results and discuss your treatment plan.

Q: What kind of environment does the clinic provide?

A: We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or other patients will not be tolerated.

Q: Will I be seen by a female doctor?

A: Yes. You will interact only with a female doctor and female staff throughout your Women's Health Clinic visit.
